Biography

"Better to gorge yourself than to go hungry. Hey, want some noodles?"

Born to a pair of Lalafellin adventurers based in Gridania and orphaned at a young age, Chuii's early childhood was marked by being passed between foster homes all throughout La Noscea and Limsa Lominsa from as early as she could remember. Her first happy memories were of picture books chronicling the lives of brave adventurers of ages past- this would prove to be the catalyst for her current choice of occupation. The young orphan found her first stable home after an exiled Hingan swordsman took pity on her and brought her under his wing as a pupil.Years of training under him would ultimately prove to be ineffective, however- she would wind up leaving his La Noscean dojo due to her inability to master the Hingan style of swordsmanship, leading to her aimlessly wandering the land in search of a style of martial arts that would prove to be a fit for her.A chance encounter with a certain teahouse's proprietor and one long and storied journey to Yanxia later, Chuii is now one of the premier disciples of the Azure Dragon Style of swordsmanship, currently on dispatch to Eorzea at the behest of her Master to develop her skills further.Currently plying her trade as an adventurer, Chuii has chosen to settle temporarily in her childhood home of Gridania, taking on various jobs on behalf of the Adventurer's Guild- biding her time and waiting for the day her Master calls her back to Yanxia to complete her training.Eternally hungry, Chuii enjoys a good fight, a good meal, and a good conversation all in equal measure.

Potential Scenarios to Consider with Chuii

A cosy conversation - Chuii is always looking for people to share new experiences with. Though she might come off as shy at first, her natural curiousity and interests will eventually override her initial feelings of apprehension. Perhaps you're a tour guide, or a local. Heck, you might just be a customer at one of the venues she works at- just say "hi"!A tasty meal - Chuii is always ready to experience the culinary joys of Eorzea and beyond- offer her a good meal, or tell her about a new delicious dish or recipe, and you instantly have a new friend in her.Talk about swords and warfare - Chuii is, as a disciple of the Azure Dragon and one intimately familiar with the Hingan school of swordsmanship, an extremely capable samurai by profession. As part of her journey, she has also picked up a few other tricks of the trade. If you have anything to teach her, or new techniques to show her, this bright-eyed girl will spare no effort to learn from you if you are willing to teach.Engage her on philosphy, or teach her life lessons - Are you a keen-eyed archer with years of life experience? A calamity-channeling mage with sage wisdom? Perhaps you're an academic and have certain tidbits of wisdom to impart to this inexperienced child playing at being an adult. Chuii will hardly admit it, but she relishes having a mentor and someone to rely on or teach her new things.

The Present

A lot has happened since Chuii returned from Yanxia to Eorzea as part of her adventures, including, but not limited to:-Defeating her abusive ex-Master in a one-on-one duel
-Fighting a variety of weird and nasty creatures
-Inheriting a dojo
Chuii can be found these days working at either the Little Comet, where she seems to have found a sisterhood of equally battle-hungry, well-equipped, and skilled maids, or at the Hei Mao, where she is often found in the kitchen or waiting tables, as their ostensible larder manager.Far removed from her days of seeking a home and family, she has since found a place and people to call her own. She's definitely all 'settled down', so to speak- but the adventurer in her is always looking for more friends and more fun things to do.What journey will Chuii embark on next, and will you be a part of it?
